You cannot judge a mattress in ten minutes on a showroom floor, so we do not ask you to. Every DreamBeds mattress comes with a 100-night in-home trial, and the Terra Organic Latex, Verdant Natural Latex and Regal Handmade Cashmere Innerspring come with a 365-night trial. Sleep on it, and if it is not right, we take it back.
How the trial works
- Sleep on it for at least 30 nights. A new mattress takes two to four weeks to break in and your body takes about as long to adjust, so we ask you to give it 30 nights before requesting a return. The trial starts on the day of delivery.
- Contact us before night 100 (or 365). Call, email or chat with the order number. An advisor will ask a few questions; often a firmness swap, a topper or a foundation fix solves the problem, and we offer those at no charge first.
- We pick it up. We schedule a pickup within 7 to 14 days. In our own delivery area the DreamBeds crew collects the mattress; elsewhere we arrange a freight pickup. You do not need to keep the box.
- Refund within 10 business days of pickup, to the original payment method, less the $99 pickup fee.
Fees and conditions
- A $99 pickup fee is deducted from every mattress return; it covers the collection and the donation or recycling of the mattress. Returned mattresses are never resold; they go to shelter partners or a certified recycler.
- One trial return per household per 12 months. If you exchange for a different model, the new mattress has a fresh 100-night trial, but a second return within the same 12 months is not eligible for a refund.
- The mattress must be clean, undamaged and free of stains, odours, tears and pet damage. We strongly recommend the Guardian protector from the first night. A stained mattress cannot be returned.
- Floor models, clearance items and custom sizes are sold as-is and are excluded from the trial.
Bedding, pillows and accessories
For hygiene reasons the 100-night trial does not cover pillows, sheet sets, protectors or toppers. These can be returned within 30 days only if unopened and in the original packaging; return shipping is at your cost. Opened bedding cannot be returned. Bed risers and headboard brackets can be returned within 30 days in any condition for a full refund.
Bed frames and adjustable bases
Bed frames and adjustable bases have a 30-day return window rather than a sleep trial. The product must be disassembled and repacked in the original cartons; a 15 percent restocking fee and the return freight cost apply, unless the product arrived damaged or defective, in which case we replace it at no charge. The Fold-Away Murphy bed cannot be returned once installed. Services (recycling pickup, assembly) are refundable only if cancelled before the visit.
