Description
The Loft is our most popular kids’ bed. It is a twin-over-twin bunk in solid New Zealand pine with a fixed angled ladder, full-length guard rails on both sides of the top bunk and a slatted deck on each level, so no bunkie board is needed. When the kids are older, the bunk separates into two free-standing twin beds; the extra guard rails and the ladder store flat.
The top bunk is designed for mattresses up to 8 inches tall; our Nook Basic Foam Twin and Nook Bonnell Innerspring Twin are both made to fit. The bottom bunk takes any twin mattress up to 12 inches. The bed meets ASTM F1427 and CPSC bunk bed safety standards; the top bunk is recommended for children 6 and older.
Assembly takes about 90 minutes with two adults and the included hardware and hex key.
